India named an 18-member squad for the Test series, with Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini, and Khaleel Ahmed as reserve players. However, there have been some changes due to injuries:
On November 17, Shubman Gill was ruled out of the first Test after fracturing his left thumb during a training match at the WACA.
On November 20, Devdutt Padikkal, who was part of the India A team, was added to the main squad to cover for injuries. Yash Dayal also joined the reserves, replacing the injured Khaleel Ahmed. This tour marks an exciting chapter in India-Australia cricket history!
