The Maha Kumbh embodies India’s timeless spiritual heritage and celebrates faith and harmony.”
Similarly, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his greetings, highlighting the event’s grandeur and spiritual significance. He said, “The world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering ‘Maha Kumbh’ is starting today in the holy city of Prayagraj. All devotees are heartily welcomed. Massive Arrangements for an Unprecedented Turnout
The preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025 have been monumental, reflecting the immense scale of the event. Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh stated that over 45 crore pilgrims are expected to attend, surpassing the 24 crore turnout during the 2019 Kumbh. The state has allocated a significant budget of ₹7,000 crore for this event, ensuring infrastructure, sanitation, security, and a seamless experience for all attendees.
A Blend of Spirituality and Technology
Maha Kumbh 2025 is a fusion of ancient spirituality and modern technology. For the first time, an underwater drone has been deployed to monitor the safety of devotees in the rivers. Alongside, AI-enabled cameras and remote life-saving buoys have been installed to enhance security measures. The deployment of teams from PAC, NDRF, and SDRF, along with 700 flagged boats, ensures round-the-clock safety for pilgrims.
