Pro Kabaddi League Highlights, PKL 2024: Bengaluru Bulls loses 36-22 vs Puneri Paltan; Devank’s 25 raid points help Patna Pirates beats Tamil Thalaivas 42-40

Aslam Inamdar rolls down the clock with a couple of empty raids as Puneri Paltan registers a comprehensive 14-point win over Bengaluru Bulls. The defender champions were rattled after the loss handed by Tamil Thalaivas in their last game but it is what champion teams do the best, comeback at the right time. Puneri got the third win in the fourth game whereas Bengaluru succumbed to its fourth loss on the trot. 

Akash Shinde lures Nitin Rawal to try a dash and he escapes it with no fuss. 

Another point for out-of-form Sanket Sawant who tackles Akshit.

Another point in defence for Puneri. Sanket Sawant gets his second point after grabbing Sushil by his legs.

Pankaj has been thumped down hard by Pankaj Mohite.

Akash Shinde lands a flat kick on Jai Bhagwan in the do-or-die raid.

Jai Bhagwan escapes the anklehold of Abhinesh Nadarajan.

Another SUPER TACKLE by a three-man defence of the Bulls. This time they take down Mohit Goyat. 

Pankaj goes in the do-or-die raid and goes out on the bench too after Aslam Inamdar tackles him this time. 

Saurabh Nandal, Surender Dahal and Parteek combine well to SUPER TACKLE Pankaj Mohite. 

Pardeep Narwal’s poor show continues. He has been thumped down by Puneri’s defence led by Sanket Sawant. 

Mohit Goyat in another do-or-die raid and gets another point. Nitin Rawal was in two minds whether to go for the anklehold or not and he went for it and was punished by the raider. 

Ajinkya Pawar has to go out next. Puneri’s defence is just way too good. 

Gaurav Khatri comes with a chain tackle with Pankaj Mohite to tackle Pankaj, denying him a point in his do-or-die raid. 

Mohit Goyat is in the do-or-die raid and runs straight to Nitin Rawal, offering him his kneehold, only after getting a bonus. 

Ajinkya Pawar gets a touch on Aslam Inamdar.

Pankaj, the last man left for the Bulls, has been taken down after allowing him to take a bonus. With this, PUNER PALTAN GETS ITS FIRST ALL-OUT ON BENGALURU BULLS.

Narender Kandola goes in the last raid of the match. He has to take a point to draw the match but not to be! Patna’s defence holds up to tackle him and register a very famous win! What a game we just have witnessed, worthy of a thriller movie. Devank announces himself on the big stage with an emphatic 25-point performance. He helps Patna take five points from this game while Tamil has to settle with just one point.

Sachin has been pinned down. The raider gets a bonus though but it’s as good as done for Tamil now. Patna takes a review and the replay changes the verdict, no bonus for Sachin and he has been deemed out but two Patna defenders were also out of bounds so Tamil gets two points. It’s 41-40 now with 49 seconds left on the clock.

Do-or-die raid for Patna Pirates, Devank in action again. He takes almost 20 seconds but didn’t find any touch, and finally this big unit has been taken down with all five players needing to be involved in the defence.

Sandeep goes into the raid against a two-player defence of Tamil. He almost touched the midline before Himanshu pulled him back. One of the defenders was out of bounds so one point to Patna and two SUPER TACKLE points to Tamil.

Devank with a big raid! It is a SUPER RAID from Patna raider! He was taken down with an anklehold but the lanky raider muscles through his way back to the midline, taking the touchpoints of Amir Hosein Bastami, Nitesh Kumar and Sahil. 

Ankit takes down Sachin in his second do-or-die raid in a row! He pounces on his ankles to pin him down.

Nitesh Kumar comes with a block and Anuj Gawde comes out with a chain to tackle Sandeep.
