Pushpa 2 Day 4 Box Office Report: Allu Arjun’s Blockbuster Continues to Roar
Director Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is smashing records at the box office! After overtaking the lifetime earnings of Pushpa: The Rise (₹350.1 crore) in just two days, the sequel is on fire, heading for an incredible ₹780 crore in global earnings by the end of Sunday. The action-packed drama, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is maintaining its momentum and could cross ₹1,000 crore worldwide in just a few days.
By 4 PM on Sunday, the movie had collected ₹79.59 crore domestically, pushing its total India nett earnings to ₹467.54 crore. The Telugu version saw a high occupancy rate of 72.29%, with afternoon shows hitting 86.67%. The Hindi version was just as impressive, recording a 78.76% occupancy overall, with afternoon shows peaking at 92.06%.
On Saturday alone, Pushpa 2 brought in ₹119.25 crore in India, with major contributions from its Hindi (₹73.5 crore) and Telugu (₹35 crore) versions. Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions added ₹8.1 crore, ₹1.85 crore, and ₹80 lakh, respectively. Saturday also marked another milestone, as Pushpa 2 became the fastest movie to cross ₹500 crore globally. The movie had already set the record for the biggest opening in Indian cinema, earning ₹294 crore on day one, surpassing the previous record held by RRR (₹223 crore).
While the film has been a box office sensation, critics have mixed opinions. The Indian Express gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars, praising Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil’s performances but pointing out that the film struggles to live up to the massive expectations. Featuring an ensemble cast including Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Rao Ramesh, the movie’s music by Devi Sri Prasad and additional score by Sam CS are fan favorites.
