Teja Sajja: Ranveer Singh called me up to discuss Hanu-Man - Exclusive

Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man, directed by Prashant Varma, has emerged as one of the biggest sleeper hits of the year, with a box office collection exceeding Rs 200 crore. The stage is now set for the next chapter in the franchise as Rishabh Shetty joins the series, portraying Lord Hanuman.
Speaking about the film’s success in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Teja said, “The success of the film has given us greater responsibility and a huge opportunity to share our stories with a global audience.”
Teja also revealed that one of the most memorable compliments for his performance came from none other than Ranveer Singh. He shared, “Ranveer called me, and we had a fantastic conversation. He really loved the film and discussed every minute nuance of my performance.”
The film is a rare example of a South Indian production achieving nationwide success despite not featuring major stars like Rajinikanth, Prabhas, Jr NTR, or Ram Charan. Reflecting on the audience’s response, Teja said, “The love we received from different parts of the country made us feel truly at home.”
