‘The Sabarmati Report’ which released on November 15 is now seeing a good amount of growth at the box office due to the buzz and word of mouth around the film. While so far, the film remained in the Rs 1 crore mark everyday, it has seen a good jump in the number on its second Saturday. ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has also now been declared tax free in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and has gotten appreciation from PM Narendra Modi along with the chief ministers of various states. Thus, this has also reflected in the numbers which have seen a growth.
The film collected a total of Rs 11.5 crore in its week one. On second Friday, it made Rs 1.4 crore. However, it saw a growth of around 85 per cent on second Saturday. Thus, the total collection so far, is Rs 15.5 crore. On Sunday, it can see a further growth in numbers. The film was made on a moderate budget and had released in only 600 screens initially. Thus, the collection so far, seems very decent and the word of mouth may further lead the film to continue in the coming week as well.
Meanwhile, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Singham Again’ are still gathering footfalls at the box office and giving a major competition to ‘The Sabarmati Report’. Meanwhile, this Friday, Abhishek Bachchan’s film ‘I Want To Talk’ released but it hasn’t been getting those numbers despite rave reviews from all over.
